The cycle of Carbon dioxide
Biomass
Biomass starts up with help of solar energy and from energetic view works as its accumulator. The advantage of biomass is easy, longterm energy storage. The disadvantage is the low efficiency of conversion of sunlight into energy. From one hectare field a year we can get biomass with an energy content of 40 to 90 MWh, according to the type of crop. It is less than 1% of solar radiation for this area a yaer. By processing of biomass fuel and its combustion to obtain heat or electricity we generate further energy loss. Biomass in terms of potential energy use includes any organic source containing bound chemical energy as is wood and wood waste in various forms, agricultural crops and its waste, waste from animal and food production and biodegradable fractions of industrial and municipal waste.
